An upgrade for the much used Astroturf pitch in Narberth has been given the go-ahead, it was announced this week.
The contract for the facility was awarded to local company, Young Brothers, revealed local county councillor Wynne Evans, who secured funding for the upgrade.
"Firstly I am delighted that a much-respected company like Young Bros will be undertaking the work, and also work will start in the next few weeks, and be completed in time for Civic Week. It will be closed for two days whilst ground work takes place and advance notice to users will be given," he said.
"This facility is in constant use, and used by all age groups. The only down side is that I am saddened that there continues to be lots of litter, and high energy drinks bottles are left at the pitch. I would urge users to take away their litter with them," added Clr. Evans.
