The founder of a Bude funeral directors, Arthur Bryant, has celebrated his 90th birthday by raising funds for the Children’s Hospice South West.
Arthur asked friends, family, and well-wishers to make donations rather than give him birthday presents, and the generous gesture raised £350.
Arthur, wh o lives in Bude, is known for decades of compassionate service to the community. He said he wanted to use his milestone birthday to make a difference to the lives of children with life-limiting conditions.
The £350 raised will support the vital care and comfort provided by Children’s Hospice South West to these children and their families, embodying Arthur’s lifelong dedication to helping others.
His selflessness has once again inspired those around him, turning his 90th birthday into a celebration of giving and compassion. He was joined by his son, Kingsley, in donating a cheque to Gubs Hayer, the area fundraiser for CHSW.
