AN arson investigation has been launched following a blaze at a pottery business near Tintagel.
Fire crews from Cornwall Fire and Rescue service were called to reports of a fire at a commercial premises at Bossiney on Wednesday, April 24, at around 5.50pm.
Police were also called to the scene, and have launched an investigation after a cause of arson was suspected.
It was reported that nobody was injured during the incident.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: “Three appliances attended this incident from Delabole, Wadebridge & Bude following reports that the fire was coming through the roof. “On arrival crews found the fire to be in an outbuilding measuring approx five metres by ten metres used for storage.
“Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hosereel jet to extinguish the fire. “Arson is suspected and a fire investigation officer is in attendance, the police have also been informed.”
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were notified to reports of a fire at Tintagel Pottery.
“Officers attended and are conducting enquiries as to the cause of the fire, which is currently believed to be suspicious. No injuries were recorded."
