ARMY Cadets from across North Devon, including Holsworthy, have raised £1,000 in support of the building of a new chemotherapy unit for the area. Over 100 cadets took part in a woodland laser games tournament, hosted by Survival Laser Games, near Torrington recently.

Chulmleigh detachment took the gold medals, with teams from Barnstaple capturing silver and gold.

A cheque has been presented to Ian Roome of the charity who thanked the cadets for their support.
