TO mark Armed Forces Week, Liskeard Town Council have signed the Armed Forces Covenant.

Liskeard mayor Cllr Simon Cassidy, Liskeard town clerk Steve Vincent, mace bearer Ethan Mort, Major Tom Roden, Trevor Newbury president of Liskeard Royal British Legion, Chrissy Hanes Chair of Liskeard RBL and Danny Slater from Liskeard Silver Band among others gathered in the Public Hall to mark the occasion.

A rendition of the national anthem was performed during the signing of the Armed Forces Covenant this afternoon and all said it was a poignant moment in the town's history.
