GWENT Police is appealing for information after a sexual assault in the early hours of Sunday, July 19.

It's believed the incident took place in the vicinity of Chepstow bus station between 1.30am and 3am.

Officers are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have been in the area of the bus station or the former Co-op store at that time.

Potential witnesses may have seen a man, described as white and wearing a white shirt, walking with a young woman and may have noticed something unusual about their behaviour or conversation.

The 28 year old female victim is being supported by specially trained officers at this time.
