A further walkabout of Tenby by members of the town's gardens committee is to take place next month.
During a recent walkabout through areas of the town by the gardens, maintenance and general purposes committee, it was felt that the town council needed to revive their zero tolerance approach to fly-posting and remove items as soon as they appear.
Speaking on the matter at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council, Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, who is also chair of the Tenby in Bloom committee, said the walkabout was worthwhile and had flagged up concerns over the state of street furniture in the town.
"Some of the street furniture is in a dire state and we have to try and address the problems of the general cleanliness and tidiness of certain areas of the town, which could see us going down the route of employing someone," she said.
Clr. Will Rossiter said he had concerns over certain spots in the town which he considered "terribly dangerous". He referred to the 'Dead House Steps', the steps down to the South Beach, and also the slope from the Jubilee.
"We've not got the answers to everything, but the more people that come along on these walkabouts, then the more things we will notice," added Clr. Mrs. Lane, who said that the next meeting of the committee would take place around the resort on May 14.
