PERFECT cycling conditions combined with reaching the £1m target for funds raised over the last 25 years made this year's LiDBA charity bike ride a memorable occasion for participants and spectators.

Since 1974, members of Liphook and District Businessmen's Association have helped raise £968,000 for charities and good causes.

But they are now bidding farewell to the event and handing over its running to the Liphook Crankers, having achieved their goal of raising more than six figures during their tenure.
