THE Devon Air Ambulance was called to North Tawton at 3.50pm on Monday, after a man fell from a roof.

A spokesman said the man fell approximately 30 feet.

The air ambulance was contacted as it was a remote location which would have taken a land ambulance around 40 to 50 minutes to reach, but only 10 minutes by air.
