FOUR homes in the Tutshill and Sedbury areas were burgled during the evening of Saturday, April 4.

It is thought at least four men were involved in the break-ins where items of mostly jewellery were stolen.

Anyone with any information or who can recall seeing anything suspicious, including vehicles in the area on that evening, are asked to call Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting the reference number 7559/15.

A Gloucestershire Police spokeswoman said: "Crimes of this nature are extremely distressing and can have a very negative impact on the victim – many of whom are elderly and vulnerable.

"Gloucestershire Police are committed to catching and convicting those responsible and reducing these crimes.

"During the longer days of daylight we appeal to people to be vigilant; to  report any suspicious behaviour and to securely protect property.

"Make sure doors and windows are locked and that  the property looks occupied."

A crime prevention bus will visit Wyebank Road in Tutshill this Friday (April 17) between 11am and 4pm where officers will be offering advice.
