ABERGAVENNY played host to royal visitors today when Charles and Camilla hit town.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall flew in by helicopter, landing at Nevill Hall Hospital at 11am.
Their destination was The Workhouse, off Union Road, where top textile designers Charles and Patricia Lester create one-off garments for those with extensive and expensive wardrobes.
Customers include relations of HRH as well as a clutch of top-drawer celebrities.
The royal couple, escorted by the husband and wife business duo who live in Llanfoist, spent nearly an hour looking around the Lester's nerve centre in Hatherleigh Place before moving on to Oakdale Business Park in Blackwood where they met staff working for defence and aerospace manufacturer General Dynamic UK Ltd.
Earlier engagements today included popping in to TV nature presenter Kate Humble's organic farm at Penallt outside Monmouth.
The Prince was also able to visit High Glanau Manor at Lydart, Monmouth, to inspect its listed arts and crafts garden.
The heir to the throne and the Duchess have been enjoying a week of distractions as part of their annual summer visit to the Principality.
